'The Playhouse of the Children'

'The Playhouse of the Children' was a production
that revisited the original material devised by students from
KIC's Strangford Integrated College drama project in 2003. 9 of
the original college cast have joined with members of the more
recent KIC Island Youth Theatre drama programme at the Island
Arts Centre, Lisburn, to present a physical theatre exploration
of the growing pains of a child entering the 'grown-up'world of
secondary school. This production exhibited the skills of KIC
beginners who were developing original stories and performing
in the KIC physical theatre style.
'The Playhouse
of the Children' ran for 2 nights in The Island Studio Theatre,
Lagan Valley Island, Lisburn. Performances were on Friday 12th
and Saturday 13th March 2004.
