Inner City: North Belfast
KIC is developing an outreach project in North Belfast. Since Spring 2005 the project has been based at Hazelwood Integrated College, with public performances at the college in December 2005 and participation by members of this group in the KIC Core Group production, Furious Spaces at Stranmillis College, Belfast in March 2006.
Throughout summer 2006 beginner modules will be held at Hazelwood College and neighbouring Bawnmore, White City and Mount Vernon communities. KIC has scheduled for work to continue with these communities in the Autumn while a central programme at Hazelwood College runs concurrently.
The programme at Hazelwood College is open to any young person in the age band 12-15 years. Jade Hale will be directing a North Belfast Youth Theatre production for inclusion in the KIC Spaces of Fire Festival in March 2007. Contact the KIC administration for further details. |
