THE THING FROM INNER SPACE
A KIC Core Group creation for the Legacy Project, with KIC working in partnership with the BEAT Initiative, Bone Idle Circus, Streetwise Circus and Bruiser Theatre Company. Completion date for this project is June 2011, with KIC showcasing sightings of ‘The Thing’ at several stages along the way. Recruitment for the KIC Core Group will continue until the end of this year and beyond.
PLAGUE HOUSES
A physical theatre adaptation of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet with young people from North Belfast. Open workshops will be held in October. Check the News Page on this site at the end of September for dates, times and venue.
STREETLIFE NORTH BELFAST
An exploration of teenage issues with teenagers from the Deanby Youth Club, Oldpark, North Belfast. First showcase at the Deanby Youth club at the end of October.
CRASH BANG WALLOP
4 learning disabled teenagers from Lisburn completed a dance/DVD during the summer and will be moving on to make new zany, high octane work before the end of the year.
OUTREACH IN DOWNPATRICK
A group of 12 learning disabled young people from Downpatrick completed a successful 12-month physical theatre programme with KIC in August. Watch the News Page for details of next phase of this project. |
